Where are you located?
We are based in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland). Franklin area. We are Home Based and viewings are available by Appointment.
Do you have Korowai/Kakahu in stock?
Yes, we have a comprehensive stock available, however we are always designing and creating stock all the time. Contact us to see what is available.
Do you have a store where we can view the Korowai?
Aroha mai, we work from home in Auckland. You can also view our premium range online on our website. The Gallery shows Korowai made from before. These can be recreated and most designs can be changed slightly, so you have an original Korowai.
SHOP READY MADE…..Children and Adult Korowai available, so can be viewed and purchased immediately from there.
You can also Book An Appointment to view stock. Just email us with preferred size and colour choices, and we will fit you in.
If I order a Korowai, how long does it take to make?
It takes 1-2 weeks, depending on current orders in the queue. Once full payment is made, your order goes into a priority queue to be made. Pepe and childrens korowai is within 2 days.
What is the Process when we order a Korowai on line?
When you order online, we check your sizing and check our stock.
Your order form is printed and put in the Pending ORDER Queue.
When FULL PAYMENT is made, your order is in the PRODUCTION PRIORITY Queue to be made. You will be notified when the Korowai is completed. You can then pick it up, or we will post it to you. Custom Turn around is 10-14 days
Do you do URGENT ORDERS?
Contact Us, and we will endeavour to prioritise your urgent order.
Pepe and Tamariki Urgent Orders can be made the same day. Child Urgent Fee is $50.
Adult Full Korowai Urgent Order will take 1-2 days. Adult Urgent Fee is $100
Tangihanga Korowai we consider URGENT Orders, and takes priority. No Fee.

What materials do you use in making the Korowai?
For the feathers, we use mainly quality Hen, Rooster Coque , and Pheasant feathers from Marie(An Eye 4 Art) as the feathers are all fumigated. On occasion, emu, duck, and goose.
The feathers are sewn onto calico backing, with poplin mid liner, and m atching polyester inner lining for a more satin touch. Other ethnic materials (Tongan, Pacific Island, Scottish) can also be used.
What TANIKO BANDS do you use.

We use mainly patiki(flounder), poutama (steps to heaven) or contemporary design made locally by Brendon at Kapa Haka Affair in Auckland.

For children we do Peepi (Newborns – 1yr), Kohanga (2-5yrs) and Kura (6-12 yrs)
Rangatahi (Teens 13-18) are covered in Adult Korowai XS size
For Adults our range is ¼ (25cms), Capes (30cms) Half (50cms),3/4 (70cms) Full Length (100-110cms) The option is available to widen or lengthen the size as required.
My height is short at 5 feet. What Korowai would best suit me?
We make Korowai to fit all sizes, however being of short height, the three quarter length is better at 70cms.The Korowai would then fall to below the knees.

National courier costs are by size and weight, ranging from $10-$45 taking 1-5 days. Rural delivery can be longer 4-10 days.
Do you deliver to Australia or overseas?
Yes, we can send to Australia, England and USA, all countries overseas. 5-12 days
International Shipping takes 5-12 days. Longer at Xmas.
