Inspired by Ranginui, the Sky Father, we have designed and created the RANGINUI BLUE KOROWAI, the Blue Korowai of the Sky Father. This beautiful RANGINUI BLUE KOROWAI is reminiscent of Ranginui’s domain, echoing the colours of the sky at night and by day.
This taonga Korowai acknowledges, the dedication, commitment and perseverance in challenges on the Journey of Seeking Knowledge and Education. Graduation Time is a day where Whanau can share in the Celebration and Acknowledgement of your Achievements and Success. A proud moment for Whanau, and we are humbled and honoured to be able to participate in this Journey.
The Korowai has three panels, with Blue and White Hen for the Day Realm, with Natural Chinchilla feathers crossing into the Night Sky with Black Coque feathers.
This Korowai is triple lined, with feathers on a strong Calico Backing, an inner layer of Poplin for comfort, and finishes with a lining of Polyester Satin, adding a cool, yet lux touch.
The black cord ties are highlighted with matching feathers.
The TANIKO Band is Contemporary Royal Blue which compliments this RANGINUI BLUE KOROWAI well.
